Resistance literature expresses social identity, in order to save and protect the high value of humanity, and calls men for self-reliance so that they can deal with domestic oppression. Since literature is the stage of presenting movements and social-political events, writers choose it to evoke resistance impression. Although poetry is the first place of resistance literature, stories and novels are also appeared in accordance with social, political, and cultural changes which has covered Arab society. Among the novel writers, Egyptian BahaTaher(1935) tried to choose his immortal work, Shargh-al-Nakhil(1985), as an instrumen to sustain resistance in people's life, so that they can confront domestic oppression and invasion. He criticized social relations and political repressions which had covered Egypt. since resistance is one of the most important motivations that the writer has wrote about, holding protests, perseverance, etc is appeared in such works. In this work, it is illustrated that Egypt and Palestine have tolerated the most difficult condition to resist and defend their homeland and eliminate oppression. Resistance is the most prominent feature of Shargh-al-Nakhil. In this research, we tend to study resistance concepts and its different kinds in this novel through descriptive-analytic approach.
