<dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[Abdul'azimal-Rabi'i is a contemporary Arab poet, nurtured in the literary tradition of Najaf, Iraq, who wrote many poems on the virtues of Ahl al-Bayt and how they were wronged. Life and poetry of Al-Rabi’i is not much known to Iranian researchers. This study therefore intends to focus on him using an analytical-descriptive methodology. The findings show that al-Rabi’i, neglecting the New Poetry style, chooses the ode (Qasida) and quatrain (Rubai) forms for writing his poems, each of which provides him with different poetic capacities. He uses odes for presenting themes in greater details, often mixed with supplications and pleading intercession. His quatrains, on the other hand, often quickly touch on a philosophical subtle theme, mostly to present an argument or poetic opposition.]]></dcterms:abstract>

<dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[Yahyaal-Samawi, Iraqi poet, is one of the most prominent figures of resistance literature and contemporary Arabic poetry. Al-Samawi defended his motherland with his poems, and in this course he went through torture, adversary, and moving out of his land. He started writing his resistance poems during Ba’athist rule in Iraq under Saddam. He played an important role in opposing Saddamists’ misguided policies and also in the 1991 uprisings. He lateropposed the American occupation of Iraq, writing impassioned odes to warn his nation and government against wicked policies of the USA. This paper employs a descriptive-analytical methodology to study al-Samawi’s ideas of resistance presented in his poetry through concepts like freedom, rejecting oppression, criticizing the rulers, opposingthe country’s occupation, condemning war and terrorism, inviting to awareness, and standing against repression and despotism to restore the country’s freedom and the people’s rights. Among al-Samawi’s best poems are his odes in grief of martyrs who fought against repression and despotism. These odes describe heart breaking scenes of martyrdom and portray sorrow and pain, hope and resistance.]]></dcterms:abstract>

<dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[Any philosophical poet has a utopia. Jamil Sidqi al-Zahawi was a philosophical poet, who analyzed phenomena of the universe from a philosophical perspective. He played a great role in awakening and motivating the nation and in developing in them the need for a better life. His intention was to promotecertain humanistic values in the society with his poems, and he therefore set out to build foundations of a utopia in his own life. The main characteristics of al-Zahawi’s utopia are: knowledge and education, homeland’s independence, freedom of speech, justice, fondness of development, interest in life, and caring for woman’s status in the society.
This paper employed adescriptive and analytical methodology, and aimed the following:
1. Present a historical background of emergence of the idea of utopia among philosophers.
2. Introducing al-Zahawi’s poetry and its connections with science and philosophy.
3. Exploring the main characteristics of inhabitants of the utopia in al-Zahawi poetry.
4. Investigating how to acquire these characteristics based on al-Zahawi poetry.]]></dcterms:abstract>

<dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[Scholars of the past have address important topics in the field of Arabic rhetoric, including discussions of the word and the sense, a topic from which discussions of the image, or as modern critics would call, the artistic image, emerges. Thus, critics and rhetoric experts consider the artistic image (or the image) as a valid tool in literary criticism. A useful result this is the possibility of studying the Quran stories from a literary point of view. This research focused on artistic images in the story of Sulayman (Solomon) the Prophet in the Quran and addressed various aspects of the images, including powerfulness and effectiveness of presentation of the story, imagination, emotions and impression on the reader. The research adopted a descriptive-analytical approach and studied a number of different images in various verses of the Quran. The results reveal that the external music of the story orchestrates the internal music of the text and that this is in harmony with the reader’s mood. It also demonstrates that artistic images have a powerful impact on creating the structure of the story.]]></dcterms:abstract>

<dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[Allameh Fadlullah is known as the poet of the jurists and the jurist of the poets. In his Diwan (collection of poems), he has addressed a variety of themes, including the Prophet’s character. He believes that Prophet Muhammad was not a mere servant of Allah. He was a transmitter of the massage and a connector of God and Ummah (the Islamic nation), rather than simply a connector of God and an individual. The characteristics of the Prophet as mentioned by Fadlullah include: the Prophet of peace and friendship, the Prophet of morality, the Prophet of grace and mercy, the Prophet as the example and role-model, and the Prophet of humanity. This paper explores the character of Prophet Mohammad in the poetry of Allamah Fadlullah and the influence of the Qur'an on his poetry to investigate the influence of the Prophet’s character on the society and people’s lives. Fadlullah believes that people and the future generations need to set the Prophet as their role-model and the example of human perfection. In his poems, he also tries to invite people to be engaged in a relationship with Allah and the Prophet. He further believes that the idea of brotherhood of all prophets Allah encourages unity and a spirit of brotherhood among their followers. The paper employs a descriptive, analytical and investigative approach in selecting poetry lines about the Prophet’s character, analyzing their literary and rhetorical qualities and their implications, and examining the influence of the Qur'an on them.]]></dcterms:abstract>

<dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[Unity is one of the most important social issues in the holy religion of Islam. Unity makes possible entanglement from dependencies, success in settling social issues, and firmness in confronting conspiracies and invasions. Since Islam is a religion of kindness and brotherhood, it invites its followers to engage in being united, which will, however, never be achieved without resolving conflicts and tensions, putting aside prejudices and disputes, renouncing misguided beliefs, and refraining from perpetuating longstanding hostilities rooted in history. In addition, unity for noble causes is so central and critical in Islam that, throughout the history, many great reformers emerged, following the teachings of the Holy Quran and the tradition of the Prophet, to go down the uneasy path toward unity and to strive for creating a strong religious connectedness and emotional attachment among all Muslims. This article ventures to investigate various aspects of Islamic unity. First, the mutual relationship between the religion and the nation is discussed. Second, benefits of unity and disadvantages of dispersion as viewed by the Law-Giver are addressed. Finally, critical elements of unity and the vital role of leadership in the formation of a sublime society are explored.]]></dcterms:abstract>
